Fun Facts on Pure Water

Pure water made using reverse osmosis membranes contains no impurities, has excellent ability to dissolve all kinds of substances, and has high permeability. Since tap water in Thailand is hard water that contains large amounts of minerals and impurities, it may have various harmful impacts on your lifestyle. Pure water is very effective and useful in daily life situations in Thailand.

(1) Pure water makes very good coffee and tea.

Pure water penetrates the tea leaves extremely well to make strong and delicious tea. It also makes good coffee, which is why many cafés make coffee with pure water.

(2) Pure water for your baby's milk

Pure water dissolves powdered milk more easily, and since it doesn't contain any unnecessary minerals, it avoids upsets in the nutritional balance of powdered milk and other ingredients. Also, if you use hard water, your baby may experience loose stool, so we recommend using pure water. For this reason, most baby water sold on the market is pure water.

(3) Wash your face with pure water for smooth skin

Pure water dissolves soap and facial cleansing foam easily, enhancing the cleansing effect and removing dirt from your skin effectively. As pure water is soft water that does not contain minerals, it does not produce soap scum and does not remain on your skin, preventing skin roughness such as atopy. It also enhances the penetration of skin lotion and serum used after bathing.

(4) Makes rice fluffy and glossy

The high permeability of pure water means that the rice absorbs water easily when you cook it, resulting in fluffy and delicious cooked rice.

(5) Washing glasses and dishes in pure water will make them sparkle

When glasses and dishes are washed and dried, chlorine and mineral stains remain on the glass surface, but as pure water contains no impurities, glasses and dishes sparkle after washing. Some bars and restaurants use pure water to wash wine and whisky glasses.

(6) Ideal for making simmered dishes and soup stock

Pure water has a high ability to penetrate the ingredients and bring out their original flavor, making it ideal for soup stock and Japanese simmered dishes. The hard tap water in Thailand makes it difficult to produce the same tastes and flavors as in Japan, and this is why many ramen and Japanese restaurants in Thailand use pure water.

(7) With pure water it is possible to make ice that is clear and does not melt easily

Because pure water contains no impurities, you can make ice that is clear and sparkling.
Also, because pure water ice does not easily dissolve in liquids, when you put it in drinks such as whiskey and other spirits, or in soft drinks, the melting ice will not dilute the drink and the taste will remain unchanged for a long time.

(8) Ideal for cleaning mirrors and glass windows

Since pure water does not contain chlorine or mineral impurities, wiping mirrors and glass windows with pure water will give you a beautiful, clean finish.

(9) For irons and humidifiers

Using pure water to refill irons and humidifiers reduces the tendency of water stains, such as from minerals and chlorine, to stick to the inside of the iron or humidifier tank. This reduces the causes of failures and prevents clogging.

(10) Suitable for taking medicines

If you take medicines with hard mineral water, the hard components in the water may interfere with the absorption of the medicine or may have an impact on its efficacy. We recommend pure water when taking medicines.

(11) Ideal for brushing out your just-rolled-out-of-bed hair

Since pure water has higher permeability than tap water, if you put it in an atomizer and use it on your hair in the morning, it will help you brush out your just-rolled-out-of-bed hair.
